Welcome to Longham

Longham is a rural civil parish in the Breckland District of the English county of Norfolk; with a population of just over 200.

Longham is served by St Andrew & St Peter Church, in the Benefice of Launditch & Upper Nar.

The Village Hall has been updated, and, as well as holding regular events, the hall is available to hire for private functions.

The local pub, the White Horse, is a popular and friendly freehouse and is well worth a visit.

The Parish Council

The Parish Council is made up of seven members who all live in Longham and represent the village on various matters.

We are effectively the third tier of local government, the other two being Norfolk County Council and Breckland District Council.

The Parish Council usually meet at 7.30 pm in the Village Hall on the third Monday of every other month - January, March, May, July, September November.

Members of the public are very welcome to attend and are able to speak during the open forum, which is part of every meeting.

The Council are always keen to hear from anyone with ideas on how to improve local facilities.
